Hello Friends! We certainly hope you all are having a wonderful summer season. Thanks to everyone who came out to the Hanes Park Criterium. We had a great time hanging on the course. It was a great event for both participants and spectators. Thanks to Cyclesafe.org for promoting the race and we are looking forward to next year!
Speaking of cool events, the inaugural Tour de Tuck is taking place this weekend in scenic Jackson County, North Carolina. This promises to be an awesome ride through the beautiful mountains. Beginning in Sylva, NC and heading over to Cherokee to the mouth of the Blue Ridge Parkway, over to the Cashiers area and back through the metropolis of Cullowhee, NC, this promises to be a stellar training ride. There is a 60 mile option as well as a 102 mile version. For more info visit www.tourdetuck.com.
Remember, today is Tuesday, so there must be a ride leaving from the shop this evening! Meet at the shop at six for a twenty mile in-town cruise before re-grouping at the shop. Those who are into a little interval action will then move into “Seven Summits” mode and attempt to conquer the climbs surrounding the shop. Look forward to seeing you!
