Well, it is that time of year when school is in full swing, the air has become a little cooler, and the leaves are beginning to change color. Do not fret about the shortened length of the daylight hours, for the first annual Mocktoberfest is here! What is Mocktoberfest you ask? Mocktoberfest is MOB’s celebration of some of our favorite things: the autumn, bikes, and fun! In addition to running specials on many of our remaining 2006 bicycles, MOB has several fun events coming up. Here is an itinerary:
October 7- Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day
Join the MOB crew on the grounds of the Children’s Home at 1001 Reynolda Road in Winston-Salem. This IMBA sanctioned event will be great fun for a great cause. The day begins at 11am and goes until 2 pm. Refreshments will be provided. Grab a kid and hit the trail with MOB on October 7th!
October 14– Long Road Ride from the Shop
Come and enjoy the crisp fall air on Saturday, October 14 with a long ride from the shop. Leaving the shop at 8 am, the ride will head north of town and proceed through Germanton into Hanging Rock State Park. The weather should be awesome so come on out for some fresh air.
October 17-Party on the Porch
After the Tuesday night ride on the 17th, hang on the porch for some quality social time and refreshments!
October 21 & 22– MOB Mountain Bike Weekend
This is an awesome weekend of riding with the MOB crew in the North Carolina area! Saturday at Lake Norman State Park and Sunday at Dark Mountain in Wilkesboro. Contact the shop for more details.
October 28– Grand Finale!
The 2nd Millenial Cyclo-Crossdressing Jamboree!
8 pm. Costumes required. Venue and more information to be announced
